I love this movie. It is not a typical Hollywood formula love story. Instead, it is a story of finally make pace of wounded soul and redemption, to one's father, to one's homeland, and, to one's long lost love. It is a movie that stays with me, as a special piece of yearning. I highly recommend it.

This was an utter bore-fest from beginning to end. No chemistry between the Danish Chef and the Italian waitress. Also, that plate of olives, parmesan cheese and deli meats turned my stomach. Who eats parm cheese like that? Not me. However, I digress, mainly because the culinary aspects were literally the ONLY interesting parts of the snoozefest of a movie. I did like how the Italian woman took all the flowers off the food plate - hahaha! Also the comparison between icy Denmark and warm and colourful Italy really stood out. The Danish actors were also cold and icy. I did not enjoy them at all particularly the lead actor. Very dull and grumpy. I could not see what the Italian woman saw in him at all. I kept looking to see how much time was left to watch, that's how bad it got. I can't believe I made it to the end. Terrible script and awful acting. Super disappointing.

....that is if you have no heart and no soul! When I hear the negative reviews, I had Toscanini's rant of the contrabas-section in my head! An absolutely beautiful movie - leave your brain on standby and open your heart!

Okay , i'm a sucker for small movies movies with something on heart. But this here, ticks so many other boxes for movie making: 1) it's 1:30 hours long , which most hollywood producers, could learn a lot off, as it should not take any longer, to tell a story well.. 2) not too many different personas, to relate to, and the few you have to relate to, you get just enough background info, to get some kind of understanding, but still curiousity about why the react in a certain way. 3) perfectly balanced between predictability an surprises in the plot 4) Anders Matthesen for sure can overact on stage when doing stand-up, and we all know that he's a great producer. But this time , he showed me some acting I haven't seen done, other than by the great Jens Okking. I really hit med, that Anders and Jens, looked similar in many ways . Almost as if they were related in real life .

Very poor film, not worth watching it. Lot of false scenes like Prmigiano reggiano in Tuscany or Ice in the water, usually it is what I always get upset when I travel abroad in US especially. Really in Tuscany thay will serve ice in a water , no way . It is unfair for the name , for the itlain cooks, for how much we care about cleanliness in our kitchens, and also a joke. The landscape of course brautifull but its all. I would ban it at list in taly lol :). Ciao.

Did anybody watch A Good Year? WithRussell Crowe and Marion Cotillard? Following his uncle's death, Max travels to Provence to prepare a quick sale of the property he inherited. As much as I like A Good Year and watched it few times, I can't say the same about Toscana. Very chaotic and so predictable.

A brilliant chef learns that his father has died and all of his professional mien goes down the tubes in mere seconds and with a torrent of profanity. He goes to Italy and makes a few appreciative faces about the food. After brief, mostly antagonistic interaction with a figure from his childhood, he is kissing her romantically--- the night before her wedding. He decides to stay in Italy. Was there a plot in there? Don't waste your time.

It is beyond belief that this screenplay was green lighted. Utter nonsense. No wonder the acting is wooden and flat. The music is a perfect accompaniment to the incoherence witnessed on the screen. A total waste of time.

2022 Danish Netflix movie. The movie begins with a Michelin-starred chef who has problems with his father and hasn't met for years, and goes to the region to receive his inheritance in Tuscany, Italy, after his father's sudden death. Our chief's intention is to sell the inherited castle-style building, the land, the vineyard, and make capital in the restaurant he will open. He is angry with his father. Then our chef meets a woman and the local people there, he likes the atmosphere and so on. You've already guessed what will happen in the first 10 minutes of the movie. Nevertheless, it is a movie that makes you watch with its short duration and beautiful Tuscany landscapes. While watching, you should definitely have a wine or a beer in your hand. As our chef empties the glasses, you also drink from time to time. However, I can say that kodachrome is a much better choice for this kind of father-son dramas.

I have watched this film and have no regrets. Apparently I need to say more... I was tempted to suggest that you may not like the film, for many reasons... but if it is in your power to crack open a bot of red whilst watching this, I am confident that any misgivings will be short lived. If you have suffered a relationship crisis recently then you are probably better off watching something relatively light, like Schindler's List, however please try this film, I suspect you will enjoy it if you have pressed through to this bitter end.
