It isn't confusing at all if you've ever watched another non linear movie or pay attention to character names so you can understand that Daniel isn't actually in two countries at once.

The camera work is rough at major points in the film. Increasing the budget for an actual camera person rather than shooting it on someone's phone would make a big difference in the viewers experience.

Very good and entertaining movie! (sure, it could be 20 or 30 minutes shorter) but it don't take away the outstanding acting delivered by Josh Hartnett and the rest of the cast, to be fear.
Great production. Nothing fancy, but put you in the 80's mood within no problem!
It deserve the 8 I gave or more!!

This film was completely overcooked and half baked at the same time. While the lead actor who played Daniel Legey was solid and Jim gaffigan's character was enjoyable on screen, the rest of the supporting cast were a drain... Especially all of the police officer roles. Halfway through the film, we knew it was a dud but somehow felt committed - yet we were simply watching actors play out their roles instead of being immersed in the story itself... Hoping it would miraculously turn around in the third act: spoiler alert, it doesn't. There's absolutely no reason this story required 135 minutes to tell and certainly does not deserve two plus hours of anyone's time.

Very real Thai scenes depicting 1980's Bangkok, some like the Station Hotel have not changed. But when it says prisoners are singing in Thai they are praying in Pali and I have yet to come across zen Buddhism in Thailand, it's theravada.

That was worse than watching paint dry. Wow that was just boring.

Very surprised at this movie is averaging just over 6. It is obviously a good story, somewhat dramatized I'm sure, but compelling and well told here.

Great to see Josh Hartnett back - well made Canadian film, fine acting and good base on true events story

Five minutes in, the camera operator digitally moves the camera around to simulate action.... during a phone call to mommy. Just horrible.
