Acts of Revenge

Firstly, this movie could have been much better. However, you can see at times that some scenes are way too long and unnecessary. That's a common threat in independent films. It starts as a family drama but evolves into a crime suspense around midpoint. If you like the genre, you can give it a shot.

Read a good book instead. Trivia - The actor who played the doctor is a 9/10 lookalike of Pres. Biden. Just needs a better hairstyle and he's sorted.

Slow story with violent beats. This is not a fun movie. Don't watch it with kids. It's R rated. It's for adults. Good movie if you like mystery drama.

Gordon Donner's (Matt Cinquanta ) was killed by a hit and run driver. He joins a support group run by the man (Kurt Sinclair) whose daughter was raped and killed five years ago in the opening scene. We quickly learn they have a secret and it isn't hard to figure out the plot. The plot was too predictable and the characters were as dry as toast. Guide: F-word. No sex. Brief corpse nudity.

I started to watch thinking as another action flick where protagonist goes on a killing spree, instead I found a descent crime drama with a disturbing sense of anxiety and mystery. There are some flaws in the movie such as long dialogue scenes until we reach climax but somehow everything pays off with its cathartic final and leaves you with a strange feeling...

Might be a good story in the hands of a capable director, but it isn't. Bad acting, bad directing, way too long and meandering and terrible sound mixing (dialogue sounds like it's all recorded on a dictaphone left on the table).

I liked this movie! Not too much action but there are some scary scenes that force you to shut your eyes and story is provocative!

This low budget gritty suspense thriller is a specific film. It's not for everyone's taste. If you like slow burning psychological thriller genre with twists, this is a good watch. I recommend it. Story:8/10, Acting:6/10, Directing:7/10, Avg:7/10.
