So many fake bots hating this Series. Really great series, love how it's just calm like a real world scenario not all those fake Americans crime show where they're always in a hurry.

The downside and why I think the US cancelled the show was because of a very dumb detective; I mean - if u take shows like The Mentalist -- they hire him for his skills; but the law enforcement officer, in the show -- after receiving 1, 2, 3, 5, 50 spot-on tips from the main character, she still brushes him off when he comes up with more -- she needs a sledgehammer rather than a tap on the shoulder to get the hint** That is what I hated about the show -- I love the show -- Canadian Police Department on the show is staggeringly stupid. Four hints are enough to give an informant some credibility. Get rid of the unrealistic female cop -- the show will get a 9/10 from me. Well, I spoke too soon; --- I LOVE THE SHOW!!!

I so wanted to give this so a better rating. But after seeing 2 episodes I am almost ready to say good bye! The Cop and the Ex girlfriend are terrible. Great looks but stupid. The Cop has Everybody's Guilty No ones innocent complex. The Doc is Not very trusting of anyone. The partner is funny. Not sure about the Boss. If they calm the two women down I think this show just might work.Though the concept is interesting, the final product is more than lacking. Bad plot, leaving no mystery at all. Horrid acting; no chemistry between anyone. What I feel is the only good part of this show is the scenes for the main character "reading" a person's mind. Too bad. It sounded very interesting.

Not only is this based off of flashpoint, but its boring. This new episode tonight is just like Craig in flashpoint got interrogated a lot. Man can't Canadians do something more interesting than making cops look like criminals all the time. Flashpoint was way too dramatized, and The Listener is just boring.
This is nothing as good as Criminal Minds or CSI shows or Bones or NCIS or Person of Interest or The Mentalist. Heck they are canceling The Mentalist and it shouldn't be compared to this crap. I am not against Canadians, just their shows are not that good.
We need more good shows than the trash they keep adding. Even if this was supposed to be U.S.A. show its definitely not.

So far I have only seen 3-4 episodes but it is different from many main stream shows and seems to have good characterizations and decent writing. The acting is fine and the people seem real, not too pretty, slick or glib. I prefer seeing people who look real and not like models; it is much more believable when there are wrinkles, flaws and wear and tear on the faces. Canadian and British casting seems to be very good for that. The world and time worn Gordon Pinsent is on one episode, he is an underrated and not well enough known actor who adds so much to everything he does. Doubtless his choice to stay in Canada was to his careers' detriment. I hope I am wrong but it looks like this show was not renewed, typical for many very good shows here in Canada, unfortunately. We suffer from a national inferiority complex which means until things are recognized outside our borders we don't really feel like it is "good enough" to merit our support. If the show was renewed I would love to know.

I never watch much of anything on network television, but I really love this show. And I'm very pleased to hear that it's going to come back to CTV for a second season - if only I could find the air dates somewhere! It's a good solid well-written SF series with a little humour, a little romance, a lot of action. Each episode also seems to have a plot twist that takes you in a different direction and shakes things up.
This show is Canadian all the way, and unapologetically so. That's one of the things I like the most about it. It's not trying to pass itself off as an American show - there are numerous references in each episode to Canada, Toronto, other places in Ontario, hockey, and other Canadianisms. Keep it coming, CTV!

I have only watched the first two episodes on itunes so far, but i have decided to stop...and i watch a wide variety of shows from 24 to battlestar galactica to grey's anatomy, and Canadian shows like flashpoint. This show just isn't on par with the rest of the same genre.
The show reminds me of Thirdwatch in the background with a telepathic character, but less technical when dealing with cases, and instead more "dramatic". The main character runs off by himself suddenly when he gets a telepathic vision to save a life in a way regular paramedics don't.
The plot for each episode seems to be going everywhere, touching a little bit of each character, but never focusing enough on one character for me to care. The shots look beautiful, but unless it is an indie art movie, plot and character development really need to be better for the show to stay on air.
A side note. Being a part-time paramedic in BC, Canada, i am not sure about the protocols the main character Toby follows as he works in Ontario. However I do know that i should never confront criminals, especially mentally unstable ones like arsonists and rogue cops by myself, alone, unarmed. His partner also doesn't look like he knows what he is doing at times. How did he get licensed?

This show is so stupid that I can't believe it was ever even made in the first place.
He worked as an ambulance driver and then after an accident he discovers that he has the ability to read people's minds? Really? How stupid is that.
The comedy in the show is really bad but that is brilliant compared to most of this show, the stupid plots concerning this mind reading health care worker who can tell what guilty people are thinking and use that to bring them to justice.
Avoid this show, it will make you stupider.
