It's a very dull and boring movie. It's not as interesting as other reviewers feel. I mean can it get more boring?

Maggie never fails to impress!! She has always thrown herself into her characters completely, convincingly, and of course, so beautifully. She has excelled in everything from The Secretary (soooooo good) to this show. The little one was a star in his own right as well! I have read many reviews on here giving a 1 Star because the movie is disturbing- it was supposed to be! In the end the little boy sought to protect himself and he was successful! He felt empowered to do the right thing while also having empathy for her pain. I believe this flick to be a hands in the air 10!

I really tried to like this movie and maybe it's my fault for going into it assuming it was more of a thriller, but this movie was so slow and anticlimactic it was hard to not turn it off about an hour into it. I didn't because I kept hoping it would get better but it didn't.

The 6.7/10 on IMDb is disappointing to me. This film is not exactly the genre I am typically drawn too, but it proceeded to instantly peek my interest by performing well fundamentally. The score was eerie when it needed to be, and it was chipper and enticing the rest of the time. There was nothing crazy in this film and it had no huge plot twists, but that didn't stop it from building and building until I just couldn't wait to see what happened next.
The characterization was what really made The Kindergarten Teacher shine. Only two characters really needed development, and they got ALL of it. I was enthralled in their relationship. Give this film a chance even if you are not a fan of dramas.

I like exploring the idea that some people are blessed with talent and others aren't, and you can already see talent in kids. So potentially you could see a kid who is already better at something than you, or will be soon, and there's nothing you can do about it.
Of course this story is more complex than that. Because this lady is extremely bored. She probably always dreamed of a more romantic existence but also always knew that she didn't have what it takes to get that. So she has a routine job and an ordinary husband.
Meanwhile she has that thing that so many of us dread. Which is kids who see right through us and are not impressed. Once that happens, they will never listen to you. So her kids look down on her, no one is impressed with her profession and she's getting old with nothing to show for it.
When characters in movies make political statements, you always have to wonder if that is just what that character would say normally, or if the writer is throwing in their opinion, or in this case, if the actor agreed to perform if they could tout their agenda. There are a few Left wing remarks.
As you know, many small films are about depressed characters, and feature multiple shots of a pondering hopeless face and painfully slow piano music. That's what you'll get here.
Other interesting themes include the notion that one has to do something romantic and glamorous to make their mark on the world, or even that making a big mark is important. What's wrong with being a kindergarten teacher?
Well, the husband makes a remark about the creepiness of things related to God, and we see clearly that this is another Godless, New York family depicted on film. Because alas, that's who makes films.
