Tony (Jon-Paul Gates) suffered a brain injury in a fight and spends much of the film attempting to figure out if he brushed his teeth or not. The English are up against the Russian gang...mostly boxing and playing poker. Not much Hooligan stuff. There was a sad looking soccer game, even by American standards. There was a person going around in a red hoody that was not Adelina Poerio, my first guess. Very boring, Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

It seems to me that these so-called British 'gangster' films get cheaper and cheaper as the years go on, and coincidentally or otherwise the quality just drops and drops. It's hard to imagine a movie more boring or inept than RED ARMY HOOLIGANS, a film which doesn't seem to exist for any reason at all. A bored, ugly protagonist sustains a head injury at the hands of some Russian hooligans and eventually wants to get revenge, but this is a purely amateurish mish-mash of a movie, lacking even the recognisable cameos you usually get in such pictures.

Truly bad, do not waste your time on this movie unless you want to watch someone eating toast and drinking tea. Go get a copy of football factory or I.D. Do not be fooled by the cover!!

This is not your typical Hooligan film. It has its moments of violence but there's is a deeper story behind it all. Great performances from everyone across the board! Highly recommend this film so check it out on VOD and DVD!

Unlike previous films in the Hooligan genre, this film had a heart about a former hooligan who sustained a brain injury and not only does he not know who did it but also he can't recognise his own family. All hooligan movies glorify violence, this does not, it's about the terrible consequences fighting others over a football match may bring. My own father suffered from Alzheimer's and I though the actor did a good job capturing that emotion.

This one grew on my while watching it. At the beginning it seemed a bit all over the place with few connections with football, firms or hooligans but soon enough i´ve realized that that connection is never established because this is not a movies about any of that. This low key movie, with decent acting in some places, is all about a man trying to catch up with his lost memories while suffering from a brain damaged suffered in a fight. To me it´s hard to understand why anyone would choose this subtext to touch this subject but i did like it in the end because it all made a nice contrast.
