There are a lot of Haunted House/Hotel movies around. I stumbled over this one by accident. I think for the small budget and the Corona Lockdown Situation they made something good out of it. It wasn't really surpsing and you have heard the story a lot of times, but i think, the acting was good and the atmosphere had it's peeks. All in all it was a nice little movie that i enjoyed with my wife. No gore that would have chased her away but enough creepy things to keep us watching.

Frankly, I'm surprised that there are so many haters for this film. I enjoyed it a lot and let me tell you why. The actors were fun with goofy chemistry, which is good because it wasn't meant to be a slasher film. The twins (Fraternal means that they aren't identical, by the way...to the reviewer who seemed to be confused by what this meant.) were extremely quirky but that led to the charm! The innkeeper was very Jack Nicholson "Here's Johnny" at the end and it made me grin. At some point, the cheese is on purpose and fun as hell, guys. There's bad acting and then there's just having fun and I can tell this cast had a great time filming so don't knock it until you sit back with some friends and some popcorn to just enjoy the mystery. On twitter, I called it a made-for-tv movie because we're limited on words to describe it but I don't think of that as an insult. As a matter of fact, I think it's almost a family friendly movie? It might scare some really young children, but it skirted anything gross or offensive so I think it could pass for a family night movie and there needs to be more of those. Horror should be about more than jump scares or gore. Frankly, the plot was solid. The cinematography was fun and fit the movie. Actors had chemistry and were enjoyable to watch. Was I on the edge of my seat? No. Were there any jump scares? Not really. But was I invested in the ending? Absolutely. Did I watch past the credits to see the end? Hell yeah! So for any movie to get me invested enough to watch credits, it was an enjoyable time and it deserves my 8/10.

I love horror but I despise cheap jump scares and was delightfully greeted by the atmospheric horror found throughout this film! The premise is nice and the acting by the two lead "twins" was honestly fantastic. For me personally I felt like you could actually feel the chemistry and shoutout to the casting for finding two individuals who look related but also in the short film's runtime gave a convincing performance of their investment towards one another. My only qualm against the film was that certain aspects seemed dragged out and other aspects I wish had more development but such is a limitation of a film with a short runtime that was apparently shot during lockdown so props to them for making the most out of what they were handed to. It would be great if the movie was longer and more development and buildup was shown as some details seemed too implied or details were completely gone if you missed them. Overall a nice sweet movie especially if you're a sucker for horror, haunted properties as an aesthetic. A fine movie for a night and short enough that it doesn't take up too much time.

Come to think of it , despite flaws in acting and direction, its not that bad. Just have to lower some expectations. The twin brother though was over doing his part . If this movie had a bigger budget , audience might have actually enjoyed it.

Fun little horror movie! Slightly over an hour, but you become surprisingly invested during that time. Loved the relationship between the siblings. Excellent casting, they really looked like brother and sister. It helped make them more believable, and you can't help but root for them. The night manager was creeeeeepy in the best way possible. Scary and weird but legit laugh-out-loud funny, and oddly likable at times. The handyman will have you conflicted (is he good? Is he bad?), except for the shirtless scene. All good there. I have read a few snarky reviews on here, but there's a clear humorous edge to the movie. To me it appears the cast is in on the joke, and having a cheeky time with it! The film felt like an hour-long TV show, not the highest production value, but entertaining and watchable. It's scary enough to be labeled a thriller, but you can definitely watch it by yourself. No gratuitous nudity, a few curses here and there, but nothing vulgar or embarrassing if you are watching with other people. There is the one aforementioned shirtless scene- but it is necessary for a specific plot point and hey, if the actor wants to leave his shirt off a little longer than necessary, who am I to complain. All and all, very much worth renting.

I really enjoyed this hotel horror movie! The innkeeper projects a very creepy & sinister-like individual. If I checked in to the Eagle Inn I'd probably turn around & leave after meeting him. He reminded me a bit of Jack Nicholson in the Shining - scary & evil! The twins were convincing in their quest for answers & kept me on the edge of my seat while trying to find out about their past. I kept worrying about what their fate would be. Dean's role was shocking and the ending was not what I expected at all - such a twist ... just wish it was a little longer.

Made me grit my teeth. Quite enjoyable. The one guy behaved like a creepy pervy clown. I would uncomfortable along with being scared. What caught my eye was the trailer and the Wednesday like goth chick. The main guy reminded me of the blond guy in Scooby Doo.

Quick moving story with a couple of truly scary moments. Loved the combo of old fashioned horror hotel with a more modern feel. Gregg Schweers was great as the innkeeper.

Dear director; if you spend the entire movie getting your audience to like and identify with your main protagonists, don't have them lose to the one dimensional bad guy at the end. Also, liven the story up a couple of notches.

This film is one of the worst "horror" flicks i have ever encountered.. The actors are bad, lame story and mediocre music. I don't usually bury movies with bad reviews but for this one i believe firmly that the filmmakers stole my precious time. It isn't scary at all and sometimes the actors perfomance made laugh in bad way cause this is not comedy. If it wasn't for the music i would have rated it with 1.
