I know people would expect more. Now days, people become very smart, so makers should be smarter. But sadly, especially for independent makers, it's very difficult. Even if they have very great ideas, it's industry. They need money. But if they even don't have ideas? It's nothing. So ideas are the start. With that opinion? I think it has a quite good idea. That's why I want to give it a high score. Courage is what they need. Not the sort of cruel a few stars. People are smart. But I think they don't think when they throw just a few stars. I really do hope people get more kind. All we need is Love, friends.

I really like to watch horror movies and this film is one of a kind! I think HEX is new horror genre film because it comes with sports of skydiving. It is really new and different challenge, experience among horror movie. It also includes classic style of horrible movies. The sequences of skydiving were also excellent! It felt like so real that makes me dizzying and thrilling as if I am in sky. One of the strengths of "HEX" is the way it builds up the tension and horror fast, introducing new elements of the supernatural as the story progresses. Performance of actor and actress was also great and worth to watch. I strongly recommend this movie for somebody who likes horror and B-movies!

While watching the first part, I was all set to give it a 2/10 or 3/10 rating. The skydiving scenes look good but there's not a whole lot else going on here. The premise of an evil skydiving formation is a bit iffy to begin with and they don't sell the menace of it very well. It just comes across as kind of silly. There is a lot of stuff that seems nonsensical and disjointed as it is happening. A lot of this makes sense in retrospect once you get to the end of the movie and the reveal. You have to sit through a lot of talky scenes and out of nowhere stuff to get there though. The eventual revelation does a pretty good job of tying it all together though and raised my score for this movie considerably. You have to watch to the very end to get that payoff though.

If you want to see a movie with good skydiving go watch Drop zone with Wesley Snipes in it!!!! This movie was a total waste of my time watching this crap!!! I am angry at myself for thinking that it was going to get better thus waste my time watching this mess!!! They tried to make the ending look cool but it only looked incredibly stupid and dumb!!! How on earth did the supposedly dead guy haunt all of the friends throughout the movie plus cause their deaths but he was alive in the end and was also working with the old guy??? Then the whole story about the hex didn't make sense either!!! The writers should have thought carefully before making this crap a movie because there were soooooo many plot holes!!! Why was Sarah the last to die??? Why did all the other friends have to die or why did anyone have to die in the first place??? What was the purpose of the deaths??? I definitely wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone even if there wasn't anything on TV or if they were bored out of their mind!!!!

It really sux when you spend a ton of money making the cover look so attractive and you don't spend as much on the movie itself. ((Facepalm)). Suggestion: In the future, just make a b&w cover that says (Movie). That would suffice in this case for sure. 🤢. Or maybe just don't make the movie and fake people I to believing that it might be good when it's absolutely not. Sorry to be so harsh, but I didn't not understand how everything passes as a movie these days. It used to be that it was a coveted thing to be called a movie. Now it's whatever you can record on your phone and mass distribution with a fancy cover gets by? Gah!

The skydiving scenes were better than I expected, and the story was very simple. I don't like a complicated plot, so it was okay. People who love watching horror films will underestimate this one, but I'm not a horror film lover, so it was fine. I could watch whole scenes without closing my eyes, but, the ending was creepy. I think it's hard to be released in theaters, but comparing with other low-budget ott films like Netflix, Hulu, it's not so bad. The pros of this film was obviously the skydiving scenes I mentioned above. Those were very realistic, and I felt like I'm doing skydiving. It was so cool! If you have an enough time, I recommend to watch it.

HEX tells the story of a group of six skydivers who perform the eponymous jump maneuver, a formation which turns out to be cursed, and then they are picked off one by one through mysterious circumstances. The movie blends two genres which to my knowledge had not been combined together before, and for that innovation alone, it deserves to be applauded. Alas, the two aspects do not integrate well for most of the movie, and the skydiving scenes are vastly superior to the horror scenes. This is not only a pity but also a bit mystifying because the prologue, which runs for the first 2.5 minutes, actually does a really good job in both those regards, and strongly suggests that the film-makers could have done better. I think the problem is partly a lack of budget and partly a lack of commitment. On the budget side, while the skydiving scenes are very good, the CGI special effects and make-up look cheap enough that they hurt the movie's credibility. Perhaps there was also not enough money to employ cinematic techniques which could have both heightened the atmosphere (pardon the pun!) and provided additional visual clues for a plot that can easily get confusing. The reveal or plot twist here is faintly reminiscent of that in DEVIL'S ADVOCATE (1997), and part of what made it so delicious there was the visual spectacle that accompanied it. The HEX movie poster itself suggests the kind of visuals that could have made for a memorable climax following the reveal. Unfortunately, the promise of atmospheric horror of the first 2.5 minutes of this movie never materializes. On the commitment side, it seems that the film-makers were hesitant to go "full in" on the horror aspects of the movie as they did with the skydiving portions. For example, some but not all of the unfortunate victims go FINAL DESTINATION (2000) style, but the deaths are neither as creative nor do some of them really make sense. If this plot device is going to be used, why not make the most out of it? Or that some scenes are not "real" could have been hinted at with different color tones, character idiosyncrasies, or strange background phenomena etc. So that it all comes together when the explanation is revealed. These were missed opportunities. Finally, I believe if a movie is going to have a downer ending it has to make sense, otherwise it seems gratuitous. The final mocking remark of the demon could be easily interpreted as a veiled insult to the audience, and I suspect that this has something to do with this movie being panned more than it deserves.

I kind of enjoyed this as the story developed properly in the last half hour, but it seemed to be based, from the beginning, on a rather spurious urban legend which I'd never heard of and suspect doesn't exist or is highly unlikely. I think the film could have been done better using the last half hour but with a better earlier story. Skydiving? Not so much! Some lovely aerial shots and the acting was quite good. They were really let down by the plot which is very slow moving. Suspend disbelief? You may be a bit stretched on this one. Overall I give it a 4. Could have been a decent film with a better storyline.
