The main thing I enjoyed about this film is the fact at no point watching it did I feel like the leading actress was doing something incredibly stupid. I can't ever remember watching a film where there was a female lead role in a thriller where she's not doing something nobody else in their right mind would do. During the climax of the film when all the typical clichés in thrillers take place and you just sit there grimacing at how bad the writing/directing is, I found myself refreshed by how quickly it transpired to a definitive resolution. I wish other writers would follow suit. The acting was good, the directing was good as well as the plot. Highly recommend.

A back and forth between belief and disbelief. This is a rigid take on the who done it, with only two options. In a post-fight club world where the viewer has the option to think it may all be in the protagonist's mind and nothing is real, a viewer will find it hard to come to their own conclusions until the conclusion. Well thought out, and presented with confusion in mind. Would recommend.

Heitor Dhalia directs this chiller about a young woman Jill(Amanda Seyried), who has reason to fear a recurring nightmare. She arrives home from work finding her sister Molly(Emily Wickersham)...gone. Immediately Jill believes her former attacker has returned for her, but took her sister instead. The police are reluctant to help right away, because they have dealt with Jill and her anxiety enough since her own abduction. Jill sets off on her own, armed, to find her sister and put a permanent end to her nightmare once and for all. Time will become important as Jill realizes the police are on her trail to get her off the streets. She will get the chance to interact with her former abductor; but what about Molly? Dark and atmospheric; nicely paced story and Seyfried is superb. Also in the cast: Wes Bentley, Jennifer Carpenter, Michael Pare and Daniel Sunjata.

The same year that she starred in "Les Miserables", Amanda Seyfried starred in Heitor Dhalia's "Gone". It's one of many kidnapping movies that I've seen, some good, others not so much. Aside from being set in my hometown, this was nothing special.

I went into this movie knowing nothing about it, and ended up really enjoying it! Kept a decent pace throughout, had a few edge of the seat moments! Overall a pleasant surprise!!!
