I thought Holly was so sweet and I loved the "Holly Lane" Christmas store. I was really enjoying the movie- until Chris completely crossed the line with his repeated indifferent rudeness!! All I could think was WOW! He's AWFULL! Humiliating Holly under the mistletoe and totally freaking out after the dinner- All because Holly tried to help him get a dream job. (He was all - I'm too good- I don't need your help! Stop your meddling)
Broke my heart when Holly opens up to Chris- wearing her beautiful Bridesmaid dress just before the Wedding- THIS PART WAS PAINFUL TO WATCH! Holly knocks at Chris's door over and over, trying to get Chris to understand and forgive her (for trying to help him) and he is just stone cold!! I was like GIRL YOU GOTTA STOP! HE DOESN'T DESERVE YOU! Show some self respect!
This movie does NOT show a healthy relationship at All!! The cycle of abuse is shown throughout the movie. Chris shows just a spark of interest for Holly, then has an immature or rude outburst- then apologizes. And Holly is just falling for him!! Why??
Even at the end when Holly pulls away from him saying "we'll just hurt each other" and Chris says- ya, but I promise I'll always come back! Ya- back to the abuse cycle by sucking you back in with the Honeymoon Stage!! This movie should be in the Horror Genre NOT ROMANCE!!
Chris's whole aura is radiating anger, unresolved trauma/emotion and even serious mental health issues. At the end, when I saw Chris and his Grand Gesture of love I was really hoping Holly would tell him off! How dare he think that he can just shine some lights and put down some fake snow and think that she will forget the awful way he has consistently treated her!
This was not about forgiveness. She could have forgiven him and still told him No or at the very least Holly should have asked for TIME. HOLLY SHOULD HAVE DEMANDED THAT CHRIS SHOW HER THROUGH HIS BEHAVIOUR THAT HE LOVED HER. Words mean nothing unless they are supported by meaningful action!
This movie disturbed me deeply- everything is so under the surface- and Christmas becomes the camouflage - hiding his true character!
I really didn't like her best friend either!! She was so harsh!! Blaming Holly when in reality the Bride should have used her voice and insisted on getting the dress she wanted- It seemed to me the Bride didn't have any money and was just throwing a fit! Holly took care of EVERYTHING- even when the sister-in-law didn't want to or was too tired! Who did we see staying up late to get things done in time for the Christmas Wedding (that the Bride wanted) I wish Holly would have left letters for everyone explaining that since she wasn't appreciated here- she was going to go find people who accepted her - flaws and all! Her mother would have understood!
An end scene could have shown Chris in the future- divorced or alone wondering what his life could have been like had he chosen to humble himself - then and there- and NOT SLAMMED THE DOOR IN HOLLY'S FACE 3x or if he had ran to Holly right after the wedding instead of yelling at the Grandma- Holly deserved 100x better!!
This movie was disgusting!! Trying to pass that garbage off as love or as a Christmas Miracle! Nope- NOT EVEN CLOSE!

I watched this movie last night and enjoyed the movie very much.
It is so good to watch a movie that has a great story line and that is
wholesome in its content. My granddaughters and daughter in law were extras in the movie and that made it even better!

This movie is definitely a no. I don't usually give reviews but come on. How can someone write this script and think it was good. A way too nice woman gets happily ever after with a disrespectful and rude guy. Like he did nothing wrong.
I can't believe how messed up this movie turned out to be. And I decided to continue watching. Hoping the women in this movie come to their senses.
I guess I was wrong.

The only explanation I could come up with for these two characters getting together in the end of this disaster is Stockholm Syndrome.
The male lead is so angry and verbally abusive to women in this movie. From start to finish, that it's sad they end up together in the end.

I love this movie! I've watched it several times, and I still laugh at the predicaments of the characters, and cry with them through the sad and touching moments. I love that the characters are real to life with real developing relationships, real relationship breakdowns, and real restoration and reconciliation. Much better than a typical Hallmark Christmas movie.

Yells at an old lady? Yikes. This movie doesn't fit the usual romantic storyline. The dude is MEAN and I cannot understand why she would be attracted to him! So awkward, she did something nice for him and he is soooo rude to her.

This movie is the definition of what a toxic relationship looks like. As an advocate against domestic violence this is the definition of the after I abuse you I say I'm sorry with a honeymoon phase until I abuse you again. This poor girl is abused by everyone around her including the sister in law yet she portrays that that abuse is her fault a cycle advocates try for years to try to break in victims. I would not use this movie as an example of what a healthy relationship looks like it teaches young girls they should be the one to always blame and apologize when others mistreat them and confuses what love should look like. I was expecting something much different then what I seen in this movie and was waiting for this poor main character to tell them all to kick rocks and do her traveling. This movie does not impower women or represent love in any form. Terrible makes you wonder about the writer and their situation. I only pray it's not based on a true story.

Most Christmas movies a la Hallmark/Lifetime are cheesy and sappy. I still love them at Christmas time. This movie is not in those categories. It's an absolutely awful story. The female lead is a people pleaser, sure, but she has truly sacrificed for the people she loves. In return, they accuse her of being a manipulative steam roller who wants her way. It's insane to me! She gave up college and travel to take care of her Mom. She kept the family business going after her Dad died so her brother would have something to come back to after finishing school. She gave up her travel dream a second time to buy her whiny friend her dream wedding dress. It made me wonder, what had any of them done to deserve that kind of sacrifice? They were all ungrateful. When did any one of them stop to think about her and her feelings? What had any of them ever done for her?
Now enter in her selfish brothers friend. They could've found a good looking actor, but even then it wouldn't have redeemed the character. He's a one dimensional a-hole. Everyone thinks his awful behavior is fine and only reprimands the woman. I got a real abusive vibe from him. How a man treats his mother is a hint how he'll treat you. But this girl so wanted to be loved by anyone her crazy Aunt held hands with that she missed all the obvious red flags. He yelled at her, yelled at her elderly Aunt, slammed a door in her face, was rude in every interaction. Even the scene of throwing flour, which they meant to be cute, was tainted. Then you get to the ending. We were so wanting them to NOT end up together. She has a moment of clarity and says "we'll just end up hurting each other." To which he says "I'll always come back."😳 What a couple of psychos! They should show this film in psychology classes as examples of mental illnesses.

First, they throw way too many of the generic movie plot points in. It's like a mash up/rip off of several different movies jammed into one.
Second, the male lead is a complete ahole. The look in his eyes when he's telling the old woman off was genuinely chilling. I actually turned it off at that point. I understand he hasn't grown up with love in his life. I understand he has issues. But the real message the movie should have sent is that he needs to deal with those on his own before entering into a serious relationship. Very disturbing that many people see this as ok and think she should be expected to fix him. She deserved better.
