The Singer is an emotional journey filled with music and stories. The costume design was beautiful; the characters are likeable; you might cry like I did. Kim Dongwan's character was my favorite for reasons you'll see :) I feel like the film is a good introduction to pansori and traditional Korean culture.

How can this lovely film not have a higher score. Great acting all round wonderful cinematography and a heart warming story that mainly shows the ordinary people of the time and how they lived ad what they had to put up with.. The singing is a real highlight. Loved it all.
