The movie had one part that made my husband and I laugh so hard out loud I gave to write this review.. Very cute movie.. I'm upset this doesn't have more credit! It's not like over the top cheesy or anything. It's just cute.

Interesting premise especially in wake of the #metoo and #timesup movement (though this movie was made before that). This film takes a comedic spin on a Freaky Friday type of scenario, except instead of a body switcheroo, it's a gender sensibility switcheroo in which a sexist guy and a strong woman suddenly think like a woman and think like a man. It's a comedic take on it and it doesn't go too deep, often playing up a big gender clichés and stereotypes - BUT stereotypes are there for a reason in that there is some truth to them. So while this movie makes you like, it also gives you pause and make you think.

Decent watch, could watch again, but can't say I'd recommend. Collette Wolfe and Sam Huntington are a delight and funny pair for this story, but the movie is set in a mayoral race with a Freaky Friday premise on the world's genders. The problem with that is it's a lot of message: everything in the movie ends up being a commentary on society. Some of it is amusing as hell, but it ranges from wildly unfounded to obvious to "why the hell is this what you're focusing on". It's not a bad movie, just know what you're going to watch here.

So the premise, and some content, is great - Showing what differences men/women go through. But it still smacks of a man's view. Guys don't just punch each other in the shoulder - which seems to happen a lot in this movie. The premise is awesome, I just wish it would've been more realistic.

It's like the Hallmark Channel decided to start making slightly raunchy comedy instead of Christmas movies.

Warning: Spoilers! This movie is about a woman named Amanda who is given a magic mirror by her grandmother that when used, flips the world into it's opposite. She wants to run for mayor, but doesn't stand a chance because her opponent is a man named Bret who is set to win in a landslide because their town is a cartoonish version of ours where she doesn't stand a chance because she is a woman. My main problem with the movie is the cinematography. The colors are too perfect, and so is the lighting in every shot. I felt like there needed to be a drastic tone or color shift when they changed worlds. Instead, the whole movie is the same style. All the interiors were way too clean and perfect, and felt like they were a set and not a place people live or work. As for the story itself, I felt it needed a third, foil character wasn't at the extremes of misogynistic or chauvinist. For example, the transgender server at the honkers/peckers bar. Or, really any adult who has their life together and treats people like humans. In the end, Amanda wins the mayor job by a landslide in the woman ruled world, and Bret the same in the man ruled world. Amanda quits to give Bret control, and Bret does the same back in their world. Which doesn't solve any of the issues either gender would have in a world which they are a joke.

Although it was cheap, with poor replicas and action, I enjoyed the mix that it brought between the country side and the city one. This detail changed the flavour and it boosted a bit my impression about it. The staff may have had good ideas, but they were not so well put into practice. It's just a little funny and nothing else.
