God's Best Friend

Here we go: and Spoilers at some point- Not that bad. You can see there was thought and feeling put into this movie. A bit cheesy of course when you're dealing with a Dog's Ghost. Lead actor did well with what he had. Most did in fact. A couple of eye rolls here and there. I think the biggest problem I had though was there was blame in this movie and not on the right person. Spoliers - the blame if any (accidental) should have been on the Dog's Mom for not locking the gate. Otherwise not a 'bad' movie. Did pull at my heart strings. Some good/clever dialogue. Maybe a touch too long. Maybe give it a try and fast fwd as needed.

I've watched a lot of bad movies on Amazon Prime during the quarantine. So I'm bailing early, if I don't like it. I only got to about 10 minutes in. I didn't like the main character. She was responsible for the accident, not the driver. She didn't latch the gate, because she is late, and in a rush. She let the dog play with the wedding rings, so they are lost. Her chronic tardiness is treated as a joke, when really it's a sign of narcissism. Her boyfriend snidely rejects the driver's offer to help pay, which he should not be responsible for anyway. The talking dog was really obnoxious. So this movie might get great, but I couldn't watch it.

I honestly don't know why exactly what it is that makes me not like this film? Except, it's not so much of the storyline, or the idea of it, but in some ways it is. I feel like I'm watching a little bit of popular feel good Hallmark films all put together in one. Its like watching a movie that doesn't actually have it's own writer, or classify as it's own creation but that somebody took clips and peices of other films, wrote and made their own semi professional home movie,and this is the result of it. Also, the townspeople were too brutal and unforgiving about an accident. Its not like he murdered the dog. And he did offer to help pay the vet costs. And he stuck around until the vet announced the dog's passing. So many hit and runs in my city, of people and animals, they rarely stop. And only maybe 1% helps out or offer to help. If that many. I just hated how the townspeople acted that way and mistreated Jerry when he was practically quite a gem compared to most people in real life. Just so many scenes bugged me lol like the heaven scene. The fact that it took the dog a month to figure out he was dead forever before he came back to earth. The way they wrote heaven to be and dogs are separated From the people? And dogs are allowed entrances only by dogs? I also hated that Tara made it out to her father that they wanted everybody to be there at the wedding and to not be married by her father alone, only to he married alone by her dad in an empty church with none of the townspeople there except maybe for Jerry as a witness. Even though they all pitched in and made the wedding possible. There were so many errors or annoyances about this movie that just bugged me! Also, I'm not sure how this can be watched by 6 and a half million people and over 40k likes when so much of this was really not that good? I guess to each his own..

I love it such great movie just wanted to let you know I enjoyed it watch it again probably let my family and friends know about it but such great movie by the way just wanted to let you everyone know ok your welcome 🙂
