Very much enjoyed this movie. Production value was very good, as were the actors - who were refreshing for their maturity.
Yes, we've seen the personal shopper storyline before. But this one was done well.
It also was delightful to see how ethnic Indians are integrated into British society; what coould be more British than owning a pub?
I loved the British scenery, and the reference to the King tells me this was filmed later in the year - or the producers took the time to update one scene.
The true test is how many times I'd watch this again. I could probably watch this 5 times or so, hence it rates an 8.

David is an American Architect in London and shopping for a Christmas gift for his new girlfriend. He hires a personal shopper, Anji, to help him find a special present as he planned to buy her a gift card. The two unleash on a quest around London searching for the perfect gift.
As sparks fly between David and Anji, David discovers that he might know the perfect gift for Anji and Anji may have a mistaken definition of the perfect gift.

David hurriedly bumps into Anji at an expensive department store, Carltons on Bond Street while looking for a Christmas gift for his girlfriend. Anji comments on David buying a gift card, saying it is not a very creative gift. Moments later, they bump into each other on the London bus. David ultimately decides to hire her as his personal shopper to find the perfect gift for his new girlfriend.
Ending Kiss:
Anji originally titled her book, The Gift Whisperer: Anji's Guide to Good Gifting before learning that love is the perfect gift.
When the movie starts, she has one chapter to go and is having trouble finishing it.
The book explains Anji's Venn Diagram of Wants, Needs, and Loves and in the middle is the perfect gift.
David gifts Anji a fancy pen as a Christmas Gift with the note, "To be used when you sign the publishing contract for your book. I hope you write a happy ending. You deserve it. 'Happy' Christmas, David."
One year later, we see the published book at Carlton's Department Store!

Will Kemp with an American accent? What a waste! One of the reasons we like to watch him is to hear his delicious British accent and you take it away? When the film is set in London? Whoever came up with that idea needs to be demoted. Please, never do that again.
Otherwise, the movie was cheesy and flat. The accent thing didn't help. The only saving grace was the London sites, especially at Christmas. I liked what the female lead said, England practically invented Christmas. It was nice to see Christmas in England
That said, please use better judgment the next time you set a Christmas movie in London.

There was zero description of what this was about in my TV guide so I purely watched it for Reshma Shetty who I hadn't seen for ages, and she didn't disappoint excellent chemistry between the two leads and a couple of laugh out loud moments I often wonder if it's the script or acting that make hallmark movies stand out and I'm leaning towards actors as good acting is needed to drag the scripts out of the ordinary.comments have been made about the American accent but the weirdest thing here was giving the entire Asian family the hallmark posh British accent and running a pub which must have stretched their acting range.

You can know a person in a day or a lifetime, not working the relationship with the girlfriend, but why not and why working with the Indian girl? Here is the talent of the script and the talent of the actors to realize and raise the question, and also help a lot Callum, the friend of David to develop it.
The circumstances of the gift is the excuse.
But it is a very good excuse.
David says that it is "Life" who has the guilt in this, because all his life has worked as an architect and really he is good at it. But she is good also, why is she good or better than his previous girlfriend of three months?
Probably because he needs to be opened, but the other woman is also a very privacy woman with all the same defects that he has, but at least he is american and that's all the different, because even that, they don't come along together in the moment that the thing is going to become romantic, because the gift.
He doesn't want to give her a very personal gift.
That's all the question.
And from there, the question of the gift becomes so transcendental for to say what it is real love or from where can be born.
Because he says and he asks his best friend: how do you know that your husband was the one for you, the right one?
So it is a moment interesting in all that, he is interested in this questions besides his job, is a crucial moment very critical, because he needs to meet a very important person in a meeting for his job, but all at final has a very intelligent solution, that's the good thing of this movie, really recommend it one hundred per cent
With all the respect for the accent of Will Kemp, I like it, it is a challenge for him, and all the respect for all the scenarios for this wonderful Christmas in London, so wonderful and marvelous.

This is a charming movie. Lovely to see all the London scenery. Will Kemp, even with a sometimes less than perfect American accent ( who cares?), was a really good lead and foil for Anji/Reshma Shetty. They had such a sweet chemistry. She was mesmerizing to watch. Funny , sweet, wise and lovable. Enjoyed all the cast, especially his work friend Callum. A great overall message of balancing work and personal life and showing the good in others. Loved that there were no huge villains to spoil the holiday story. Could have used a little softer music at times, sort of spoiled some of the dialogue - needed close captioning. All in all, I'd have liked it to keep going though. Maybe a sequel?

I think it's interesting how the titles of these movies sometimes change, and sometimes it seems, at the last minute. I'm pretty sure we saw an ad a few weeks ago for "Christmas in London", but by airing, the title rolled as "Jolly Good Christmas".
This is so far our second favorite of the 2022 set of Hallmark Christmas romances. Second to Noel Next Door.
It's very much on the theme of "The Out-of-Towners" with a day in which anything that can go wrong ... does go wrong.
It includes the "wrong girlfriend/boyfriend" trope along with the "learn to enjoy life" trope plus the "surprise success" trope, twice.
It was beautifully filmed, and evidently on location in London, unless they did a really good job with digitally rear projected scenery. But the live images of Christmas decorated buildings ... which were likely filmed much earlier, are gorgeous.
For us, it's a recommended watch.
