I couldn't even stand it to watch it to the end. I gave up at the scene, when 2pac debates on where the best spot he could be stabbed would be in to make sure he gets injured without getting to close to death. OK, this flick is about two guys who are desperate to get into rehab. They strongly believe that has to happen here and now and only the big baaaad bureaucracy prevents those brilliant men from getting on the right path. It's simply pathetic. And all this pseudo-intellectualism, like them playing in a jazz band (actually in those scenes the music is pretty good) or seeing them debate on the meaning of life. It's a real cheesy flick full of scenes where you think "Who the hell wrote this script", "Did those guys actually get paid for doing this" or "My 3-year old kid is better at dialogs". A total waste of time.

How about the scene in the burger shop? A silent running, so quick that the cigarette smokes are still in air... THE FUNNIEST SCENE OF ALL TIME. Applause goes to Vondie Curtis-Hall. 2pac shows how to act. Tim Roth shows how to be a black. Gonna Watch it again

First time watching and it was funny. The idiocy of government bureaucracy. I don't know much about Tupac but he was awesome. Such a great actor.

Seeing how great 2Pac was here makes his shockingly young death even sadder.... he'd be one of the top actors on the globe if he was still with us today.

Now, I'm a big Tupac fan and i watched gang related (another movie) which was said to be his best but he didn't act properly, to be honest he moved like he was retarded. (dont hate me 4 saying that, I'm stating the facts.) In Gridlock'd (this movie, he was probably the best actor on set) he acted naturally and UNlike a retard. I recommend people who like Tupac and people who like comedy to watch this,i thought it was pretty funny and clever humor.(...if that makes sense) i liked the music that was on it, i liked it. Tim Roth was another fine actor. he was funny in his own ways.

A modern day adventure, Gridlocked takes you on a ride that feels like you're trying to kick a drug habit like our two heros. I would put this drug-addiction movie in the same category as Requiem for a Dream, Spun, and Trainspotting. Tupac delivers and his chemistry with Stretch is amazing.

I've always liked this movie. It really is sad to see Tupac. He was a promising actor, and this is a prime example. There is no doubt that he would have gone on to nothing but bigger and better things. This movie has a very real feel to it. The portrayal of civil servants (dept. of social services, and the police) is a times spot on, and at others way off. One thing that really stood out about the movie this most recent time viewing, is the lack of concern over "Strech"'s positive HIV status while "Spoon" is requesting to be stabbed to get into the emergency room. I just think "Spoon" would have been concerned about contracting HIV, as "Strech" was bleeding himself. More so, wouldn't this have come to "Strech"'s mind as well. I think the addition of some dialog regarding this would have been more responsible. Bottom line, this is a great movie that should be seen, 18 and up, and will remain in my library.
