Not completely horrible but extremely sleazy and repetitive. It'll be worth your time if you like low budget gore flicks because there's a lot of blood and guts.

Todd Sheets may be mental, he is slightly blood thirsty and he definitely has a sense of wonder. Even if that wonder is generated in Hell. His films always shows, above all else, that the guy loves making horror movies. "Clownado" puts that love affair on full display. And in the most cheesy, gory, indie way. The film starts with a film noir, comic book asthetic with characters as theatrical as "The Shadow" and "The Devil's Carnival". There is an almost dreamlike atmosphere that along with the lighting legitimizes the absurdity of "Clownado". And yeah for many horror fans out there, this movie will be a waste of time, but for most indie horror fans, myself included, this film is a fun time. The cast is a recognizable group of actors familiar to horror fans and especially Todd Sheets fans, he has a few peeps he likes to use in his movies. There are moments where dialog and acting falls short. At times it is clear that the lines ate the actor, but with any other film it would cripple the value to movie goers trying to enjoy the movie. However with films like "Clownado", were everything is over played and overstated, it doesn't matter as much. The real money is with the movie's horror. The serial killer clown make-up, the supernatural catalyst and the sheer amount of blood splatter is enough to make any horror fan smile. And Sheets knows how to work the heck out of a special effects budget. Even the CGI is done in a cheeky graphic novel style that works almost better than "Sharknado" effects. Overall "Clownado" was entertaining to watch. It could slide easily in either Full Moon or The Asylum's catalog.

This film is a non stop blood fest, gore at it's best. Beautifully shot and edited (very slick), great fun character's, well performed by the cast. Clown boss Big Ronnie is both funny and creepy, check out that laugh!, also there's a nice cameo from Linnea Quigley as the bitch boss from hell. A great Saturday night popcorn movie with your mates this one is, I enjoyed it!

Just take a look at how many producers this movie has, and know that everyone of them has an account here praising this god awful movie, and have obviously called in a lot of favours to vote this up as a 7 at the time being. They are lies. This film has the worst acting of the year vote, with a plot that makes it sound like it might be for fans of "Bubba Ho-Tep", but it's far from it. It's like every actor that could do a bad 1930's Brooklyn accent was cast to see who could do it the worst. Mix that with cheap effects and gore effects that have been done better, mix it up with demonic clowns who can't seem to be killed and you have this sorry excuse for a waste of time. I've seen better acting in 70's porno films. Don't waste your time on this. And remember to come back and change your "unhelpful" vote if you clicked it because you where convinced by the lying reviews, then went and watched it, and realise I warned you not to bother.

Super interesting concept. Completely original in its own way, and such a fun time to watch from start to finish. If you love gore, this is definitely a must watch. Tons of interesting characters and hilarious quip like interactions. This is definitely one of those films to see with a large group of people, who just want to have a good time.

Awful everything... Damn I lost so much time watching this, while I could have watched the grass grow, and it would have been more entertaining...

Waste of time. Way too gory for what it is, although I'm pretty sure they use jam for some scenes. I would rather have my cat wake me up at 3am for food than watch this movie. I would rather wear my glasses while wearing contacts than watch this movie. I would rather eat bologna than watch this movie. I would rather eat tuna than watch this movie. Give me back those 93 minutes.

There are times in Clownado that - thanks to the patois used by some of the characters, something I can only think is a gangster Kansas City accent - that I thought it was taking place in the 1930's, not 2019. That said, the modern cars clued me in that this was no period piece. A gang of circus clowns get cursed and decide to get their vengeance using a tornado, which brings a *, a teenage runaway, a black Elvis and an average guy into their vortex. This movie was written and directed by Todd Sheets, who directed part of the movie Hi-Death that we covered some time back, as well as Dreaming Purple Neon and Bonehill Road. Probably the selling point of this film for most folks would be the Linnea Quigley cameo. She plays Spider, the owner of a strip club that unites our main characters. Supposedly, this is the exact same character that she played in Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama. And if you know anything of 1970's adult movies, Autumn Moonspell is played by Jeanne Silver, who was once better known as "Long" Jean Silver. Eileen Dietz, who was the face of the demon in The Exorcist, also is in this. Not since Mausoleum has a movie had such killer breasts. There's plenty of gore to be had, but other than a great poster, fun cameos and the name, there's not much to enjoy here.

Insane amount of fun packed into a micro budget movie. If you look at the bad reviews, they're by people who only give bad reviews. Not sure if they're jealous failed filmmakers or if they're just angry people. This movie is fun, but it won't make you happy if you already hate your life. P.S. People claiming the movie is a cash grab have no idea what they're talking about or how much money low budget filmmakers make haha. The movie is completely different from Sharknado, was made by a very indie studio, and has waaaay too much gore to be considered commercial by anyone with a brain.
