Glued long enough to watch till the end. Interesting Dark Jokes and deep lines. But the ending of a movie is what gives it the 'good' rating.

Business Ethics is a smart, stylish dark comedy with a Faustian warning about the price of success. I'd heard from reviewers that it was boring, and I beg to differ; this is a very character-driven yet aesthetically enticing story reminiscent of the Enron scandal, bringing a lot of great talent to the table. It was nice to see a black actor in a leading role, and Larenz Tate gives it his all as the well-meaning but gradually more ruthless and callous Zachery. In pursuit of orchestrating the perfect Ponzi scheme, this character calls forth a ragtag team of deeply flawed, memorable side characters. Sarah Carter as the seemingly ditzy secretary who may be more clever than she lets on, Julian Richings as the kind-hearted but self-destructive drunk accountant, Lance Reddick as the near-omniscient voice of reason and truth... all in all, a stellar, wonderfully talented cast paired with a witty, powerful script makeS Business Ethics a strong and unforgettable story. As a student with a commerce background, I'd recommend this as a showing in any business or commercial law class.

The film centers on Zachery Cranston (Larenz Tate) who worked in the investment field. When the firm he worked for is dissolved for criminal activity, Zach can't get hired anywhere. He starts his own hedge fund which becomes a Ponzi scheme and the conduit for a dark comedy. Zach knows business jargon and tosses them around as if her doesn't know their actual meaning. Kurtwood Smith as investor Magnus Hardcastle provides us with numerous comedic moments. I thought the film had a number of good scenes but lacked any great scenes and cohesion. The characterization didn't take. Guide: F-word. Implied sex. No nudity.

Compare to wolf of Wall Street and other similar theme, this movie just show how another financial man makes money without ethics. The movie is so boring and no peak basically.

I saw this film at the Newark Film fest in 2019 and thought it was great. A really funny 90s style dark comedy that you don't see very much these days. Kind of similar to Zucker bros style comedy, but a lot darker. Def recommend checking it out if you can find it.
