13th Summer

I love it when you can buy into the characters so deeply and be completely invested - just to be given an unexpected twist! Loved this movie from start to finish! Had a love/hate relationship with just about every character! What a hidden gem! Bravo!! The Movie was so relatable. The music set in the background was so forbidding that it had me and my wife sitting on the edge of our seats! It is so hard not to give spoilers because you just want anyone who watches this movie to go on that same roller coaster ride of emotions that we went through hahaha. I think Ben and Vee were very well cast! Hats off to the actor who played Ben!

I can almost guarantee that the only other review on this movie so far, was a friend or relative of someone in the movie. No way in the world would I give this movie 10/10. The acting is not too bad but it there was no depth to any of them. It's pretty lightweight for what is supposed to be a tense thriller. As far as twists go, there was a twist. It wasn't particularly interesting. No edge of the seat thriller here, just an fairly average movie. I'm an Aussie and I want Aussie movies to be good. Some of our movies are terrific, this movie is not one of them. Give it a miss unless you just want something fairly innocuous, something forgettable or just something to pass the time, this movie might be for you.
