Drama

Christmas time at the Kentucky home of George and Denise Barnett, the decorations are up and the kids are smiling, but all is not well. George is worried about his friend Don Ford while choir director Denise is fretting over the Christmas Eve concert at their church. Meanwhile, George's brother Allen is working as a studio guitarist in Los Angeles. Allen has promised to come back to Kentucky for months - a promise that has been left unfulfilled. George learns that Don Ford is worried about his daughter Celia, a struggling actress in Hollywood - and George formulates a plan. Allen drives home and brings Celia with him. Turns out that's easier said than done. But just when George and Denise think they have everything in order, Denise's parents decide to pay a visit for the holidays. George finds out that Don Ford doesn't appreciate him meddling and the church choir loses its soloist for the concert. Celia, a fine singer, may be the answer to the choir soloist problem but conflicts arise on Christmas Eve that can only be solved by forgiveness.

The Gift Of Christmas (2020) - It felt quite cheaply made, with little direction and a lot of the incidental songs were very Godly. Why are the religious ones always so depressing? And that's as much as I wrote in my notes before I had to give up on it. There was no cheer to it whatsoever and even the filter on the camera was a grey moody, miserable one. I really couldn't see this film lifting my spirits in any way and I wasn't prepared to hear a sermon for an hour and a half about why God was so good and he tests us to make us stronger, by killing our loved ones and denying us work and so on. Unscored as unfinished.

I loved it, it's a really nice movie, well done, good acting. I've never been bored by watching it. I think that the low score means that people don't like when someone talk about Lord. These people are so blind that don't understand that a day they will be judged for their deeds and there's no chance that they won't pay the consequences. It's time to open our eyes, it's time to think about spiritual things instead of material ones. The level of awareness is rising up and staying at a low level will bring us suffering and pain and I'm not talking about physical pain. Anyway everyone is responsible for their lives and all of us have to pay the right price. This movie is able to teach us something and I'm not going to say what, if you are able to understand, good for you, if you don't, amen.

I thought this would be just another Christmas movie but I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of acting and the story line .... It's all about Jesus, His teaching of love, forgiveness, acceptance, patience and HOPE are all evident in this heartwarming movie ...... Jesus sacrificed His life for you and me offering us the most wonderful Christmas gift we can ever receive at any time. JESUS was born at Christmas and died on a cross just over 30 years later at Easter... offering us eternal life for those who believe in Him. This film offers us a story of hope. True hope can only be found in a personal relationship with Jesus. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we find EVERLASTING HOPE in eternity with Him. Where do you want to spend eternity ? Jesus is waiting to hear from you .... just ask Him : ) He is right there and waiting to hear from YOU!
