Very sad

I was expecting more of a blown-off haphazard film from the cast & the makers. It turned out to be a surprise package. Sunny Deol is very good, so is Irrfan Khan & Eesha Khoppikar. Supporting cast is all right. Now, even though the screenplay slides into hackery, the plot stays strong throughout. It may seem made-up, but the suspense gradually increases. Kinda predictable stuff, it moves on a swift pace in the second half, governing & ridiculing human rights & questioning the power of doing what's right. In the end, it is left to the viewers to decide what is wrong & what is right. BOTTOM LINE: A weak filmmaking makes this a good attempt. Recommended! Can be watched with a typical Indian family? NO Foreplay/Mouth-Kiss: Strong | Violence: Critical | Gore: Strong | Sex/Porn: No | Smoking/Drugs: No | Alcohol: Mediocre

What worked: It's a well balanced Bollywood movie that was a satisfying and unique story. It came during the times in Bollywood where almost majority of the movie were a copy of the international or national market. It's one of them, but Irrfan stole the show. It's a fine movie with a moral and legal dilemma, and taking sides is not advised but leaves you with a question at least of what happened and how it should be processed. The movie is thrilling, engaging and ends with a satisfying ending though questionable. What did not work: loopholes and flaws: the movie definitely did not answer all the puzzles and there were questions that needed answering. Overall, we can just let go of those flaws and enjoy the movie. Final verdict: recommended, at least for the time it was made

An adaption of the 1995 Hollywood Film Above Suspicion, 'Right Yaaa Wrong' is A Good Effort by Writer-Director Neeraj Pathak, that despite a slow first-hour, turns into an engrossing thriller in its second-hour. This one's a surprise from 2010! 'Right Yaaa Wrong' Synopsis: A decorated and disabled Police Officer becomes a suspect in a double homicide, after his officer friend has his doubts. 'Right Yaaa Wrong' is initially slow & also dull. The Real Thrills set in its second-hour, when the cat and mouse game begins between its two leading characters. And its interesting to watch the mystery unfold, as the sequences are thoroughly gripping. Even the culmination, is well-done. In short, 'Right Yaaa Wrong' gets it Right in its second-hour! Pathak's Writing takes time to come to the point, but once it does get there, it arrests your attention well. Pathak's Direction, on the other-hand, could've been better. The narrative has a old school vibe to it, which, certainly, could've been refreshed. Performance-Wise: Sunny Deol is in fine form. He's restrained here & enacts the man in question, with conviction. Irrfan Khan is the trump-card. The terrific actor is sensational, portraying his part with power. Konkona Sen Sharma is okay, while Eesha Koppikhar is first-rate. Govind Namdeo & Suhasini Mulay are passable. On the whole, 'Right Yaaa Wrong' is a good watch.

Only when you seem to have found the right suspense thriller to watch with the entire family do you find out it is actually a copy of another film. 'Above Suspicion' is the word. Sad isn't it? That's the state of most of the films of this genre made today. It's so much more challenging to make a film from your own imagination. Inspiration is also important, but a copy, why? Well the answer does not seem to be coming. I watched this film because of so many recommendations and I finally did it. And yes, this one really is an enjoyable fare - a very fast-paced, gripping suspense thriller which turns into an interesting courtroom drama. Sunny Deol stars as Ajay and he does well after quite a long time. Do not recall any good part since Gaddar. Here he is quiet and restrained. Isha Koppikar is effective as his unfaithful wife. Irrfan plays the investigating officer yet again, and he plays his determined act well. Konkona Sen Sharma gets a very small role, and she makes a great impact like only she can. The ending was pretty good. Right Ya Wrong may be unoriginal but if you can get past this fact, you will certainly enjoy watching it with family and friends. Just for fun.

Sunny a hothead brave-n-big heart cop's life is not so sunny. His wife is bedding his step brother. Time for Gadar. Isha is vamp wife. His brother shows off his bod and likes it dark, wears shades in the house. Both douse the lamps and bite each other under velvety covers whenever dutiful husband gunning down mob and planning surprise party for lovely wife. To make matters worse, in field one day Sunny is paralyzed waste down in a crossfire. Brooding in wheelchair he finds out the wrong side of the better half and schemes right plan to kill them of course. If you think I am giving away the plot then you need help. Promos screaming that from rooftops already. Paaji's plan is apparently flawless. Hatched and executed to look like an open and shut case of self defence. You sit up for awhile till question mark of how is resolved. Irrfan is buddy cop smells something is fishy. His conscience forces him to stand up against his pal. Working harder than rest of the cast, taking the film seriously. Konkana moves visibly uneasy as lawyer of our hero. Courtroom drama follows with predictable dalilein and underwhelming Sach Ka Saamna type lie detector test. There is no moral inquiry either. All just stretched out from an episode to make a movie. Pick up Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M For Murder or Allen Pakula's Presumed Innocent from video library instead.

First off since this was a low-budgeted kind of movie I had prepare myself to watch half of it and turn it off if I didn't liked it. Well surprisingly I was really hooked especially from beginning. Keep in mind this movie was shot and made almost 4-5 years ago and was released this time I'm assuming director might had issues. So don't expect the acting to be so current, but still it was quite commendable. It's always a treat to watch Sunny Deol as he is the most underrated actor in bollywood but I have always loved his acting and yet again in this movie he was brilliant. As most of you are already aware how good Irfan Khan is, and it was a surprise to see Konkona Sen Sharma in this movie too. It's a great mystery thriller, after many years this movie reminded me of Kasoor very much which was my favorite movie. It's a great popcorn flick so don't miss it!

It has become common knowledge that Pathak's 'Right Ya Wrong' shamelessly rips off 'Above Suspicion'. Thus, the writers do not deserve much credit. Normally I tend t avoid rip-offs, but since it stars Ishaa Koppikar and Konkona Sen Sharma, I made an exception. Considering that this is a Sunny Deol film, one can expect some 'dishum-dishum' (translation: tacky Bollywood fight scenes) but the good thing is that it's toned down and once the movie moves passed that phase, it stays in thriller mode. The execution isn't exactly sophisticated. The writing is quite amateur (even though it's ripped off). Sunny Deol is a little too old for the part but where acting is required, he's surprisingly subtle and pulls it off. Ishaa Koppikar is very convincing as the adulterous housewife. Irfan Khan is passable. In all fairness to him, the characterization was poor. Konkona Sen Sharma is wasted. I wonder what an actress of her calibre saw in such a half-baked role.
