Just watched this at the TFF (Tacoma Film Festival) and was floored. Every shot could tell its own story. Metaphors exist everywhere but it never feels burdensome or preachy. You feel so involved in the threadbare plot (it's a compliment that such a barebones story is so enthralling) and that speaks volumes about how the director wants us to interpret the actions of the characters; every word is so heavy with meaning coming from mouths so determined to be heard.
I neglected to look up who plays the main mother but her performance is devastating. Midway through the film she has a monologue that had me dabbing my leaky eyes.
I absolutely loved this movie and hope after reading this you'll get excited to watch it too.
