Clerks 2 is about a small group of people who find themselves doing teenage jobs in their early thirties. Two of the stars find they love each other but won't admit it until something unexpected happens that sets their plans (as if they really had any) off kilter. I don't know anyone who has found themselves at thirty something still working by choice in a fast food place. The cameos from other famous actors make the film a good watch, but the plot and storyline are old and tired. Without the acting and directing, this film would have been shot down out of the gate. Do they get their lives together and start living? You'll have to watch to findout.

Clerks II really took the View Askew comedy level to a new high. This is the newest comedy from View Askew in a while. The last to be seen was Jersey Girl, which wasn't as much of a comedy. But the last traditional comedy was Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. This movie is exactly like the first Clerks movie only in color, but it carries the same humor and really delivers bigger laughs than the first movie in a lot of ways. You really get the most laughs from Randal, because Jeff Anderson is absolutely hilarious. You also will receive the normal laugh out loud laughs from the Jay character (played by Jason Mewes of course). So basically this is like the ultimate treat for Smith fans that have been looking for that comedy to really hit the spot. Definite 10/10

Thank you Kevin Smith, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I am so glad that I saw Clerks 2 while here in Sacramento for training. I saw it alone of course and could not stop being entranced! There were tons of gross parts which is EXCELLENT!!! Jay and Silent BOB were excellent as always. Of course, Dante and his friend contemplate life like CRAZY, especially the other guy. The argument about Lord of the Rings vs. The Star Wars trilogy had me DYING OF LAUGHTER!!!! This movie will be considered one of the greatest movies of all time. I am glad I saw this. Keem em' coming Kevin Smith because you are a genius. The end

If this was the best Kevin Smith could do after 12 years, we will really be in trouble when Clerks III comes out. I wanted to leave after 5 minutes. It was like a train wreck. Horrible acting, horrible dialog, weak plot, even the cameo's were bad. And I thought Silent Bob and Jay Returns was terrible. Kevin should have stopped after Dogma. He is just Seriously selling out now. The acting was so over the top I thought everyone were on crack. Rosario does a good job in this flick, but everyone else just disappeared. Also, what about having at least ONE person with a Jersey accent. After all, it was Supposed to be shot in a small Jersey town. Luckily I only spent $3 on the tickets, or I would have been really ticked about losing that much time of my life. My brain wanted to set my eyes on fire for Christ's sake.

"Clerks II" is a worthy sequel to the original cult movie. It's full of atmosphere, interesting dialogue, great visuals and edgy humour. There are unexpected guest appearances, too, including Kevin Weisman, Wanda Sykes and Jason Lee, and not forgetting Ben Affleck. However, it's the main cast that are the film's strength. Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson reprise their roles as Dante and Randal. Jay and Silent Bob also make a welcome return to the silver screen. For me, though, the star of the show is the delightful, delectable Rosario Dawson as Dante's manager, Becky. 8 out of 10. Great entertainment and a near perfect popcorn movie.

Dante and Randall are back in a funny sequel that follows them starting a new life by flicking burgers at a Disney-McDonald's style fast food restaurant called Mooby's since Quick Stop Groceries was burnt down. The film is not much different from the first one considering how Dante and Randall argue about the most random and uncontrollably funny conversations just like in Clerks. Jay and Randall make the most laughs in the sequel and about every word they say, you can't stop laughing. Kevin Smith is great at making original ideas and I think that is what has made him a very successful film director and writer. Overall, this is a hilarious sequel that got me laughing a ton in almost every scene. I recommend it highly. Hedeen's Outlook: 8.5/10 ***+ B+

In terms of Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse, it seems like this will be the last chronological one in the series, but Mr. Smith is in fact making more. It does seem like this would be a fitting end. It's the only movie to be a direct sequel to another one. The plot's pretty basic with Dante and Randall trying to start life anew working at the fast food chain Mooby's. The original "Clerks" was one of my favorite comedies and this isn't as good. It was a tough act to follow, but I found this to be deserving of continuing the story. The first two thirds of this movie are basically just random conversations the characters have. In the last third, it does take a drastic turn for a bigger story, which is just fine. I see myself having conversations like this with my own coworkers. I really do like the more serious scenes where they talk about their jobs and futures. Again, something I can really relate to. Jay and Silent Bob still remind me of Penn and Teller. ***
