Veronica (Haley Lu Richardson) is 17 and pregnant. Her biggest problem is she lives in Missouri and must go out of state to take care of the issue without parental consent. And by out of state, we mean New Mexico. Circumstances place her and a former best friend back together, misfit punker Baily (Barbie Ferreira) who is no longer part of her clique. Together they take a road trip in a borrowed car, where they neglected to tell the owner they borrowed the car.
The film has the expected drama and comedy scenes. It is clearly a stab at states closing access to clinics. It is not that abortions will stop, it will just cause money to leave the state and go elsewhere. Bob was cool.
Guide: I don't recall any F-words. No sex or nudity.

As a man, this movie really helped me understand the importance of why women may need to have an abortion, and I'm really glad that I saw it.

This movie is total crap. I cant even say that its a modern version of Juno. Juno is still way better than this one. After the first 30 mins, i just started fast forwarding to see if anything is going to happen in the movie. Its completely predictable from start to finish.
Save your time and watch something else.

Another good HS movie, not as good as Booksmart, but thoroughly enjoyable.
Don't know who this Kansas white bread chick named Haley Lu is, she was also in Edge of Seventeen, but she's kickin' ass and takin' names.
As long as you're not a repuke, you should have a good time.

Abortions are nothing to be ashamed of. This movie is trying to normalize them, instead of encouraging young girls to live in shame of having an abortion by their own free will. PRO CHOICE.

I absolutely adored this movie, it kept my attention, and I felt like I was right there with the characters.

Despite the plot having very little logic or its bizarre road trip/abortion setting the movie's premise made a lot of sense if it was actually possible. The Booksmart vibes are very strong like expected. Haley Lu Richardson is refreshing as ever but she can't entirely save the film's routine and predictable dialogue and scenes.
