Mima leaves the idol group CHAM, in order to pursue her dream as an actress. Mima climbs up the rocky road to success by performing as rape victims and posing * for magazines, but is haunted by her reflections of the past. The movie, while there can be certain scenes that I do find hard to look at, the film as a whole in terms of plot, visuals, art style, audio and entertainment is very good. Especisally want something that is horror but with a cute idol.

Anime fans would have you believe that 'Perfect Blue' is an incredible, mind-blowing psychological masterpiece that forever changes the entire medium. Well, truth be told, most anime fans watch little else beyond animation - if they did, then they would realize just how derivative this film when compared to your average Hollywood stalker movie. This is material so generic, it's plagiarism. Not only is the story completely reminiscent of a hundred movies, it blatantly steals entire shots and scenes from the films of Dario Argento. 'Perfect Blue' might have been a well made film, if we hadn't seen all this stuff before countless times. As a fan of anime, it pains me to say this...but this is one film that's only respected because it's animated.

A gripping psychological piece of cinema. The way the story descends into madness without us noticing is just amazing. The final scene will give anyone goosebumps. Came across this movie after watching Black swan which was good as well. This movie made no sense at times but I guess that's what the director intended, Getting us into Mima's head as she falls into psychosis. The second half of the movie with frequent cuts and sequences takes us to the edge of our seats. Thinking about rewatching it but the movie has some really disturbing images but the movie is filled with so much details. Guess it's worth the graphic images.

Damn this movie, the animation of it, the photography, the characters and situations are so damn rough, the horror style of the movie it's feels real for some reason and of course the incredible phasing I love every second of it.
