How bad idea was to remake an almost Oscar -worthy film?! MOSTHLY MARTHA is MUCH MORE BETTER, has deepness, finesse and so on and mainly: a wonderful and talented actress in the leading role (Martina Gedeck). It's a joke and ugliness with the handsome Aaron and the whole atmosphere... again a ridiculous effort from Hollywood. There are more and more remake and the films are full with schemes.. Isn't anybody there who can create a good and newly script? Or this is a safety solution to make remake or movies from the well-tried cartoon figures? The films are getting much less interesting nowadays. Oh yes: If you want to see a REALLY good movie watch the original one. It's definitely worth.

I have just spent the most enjoyable hour and a half watching 'chef' Catherine Zeta Jones (CZJ), her male 'sous chef,' and a refreshingly talented young girl. The story is simple, the writing is excellent, the direction and pacing are perfect-with no slow spots, the lighting is exactly as it should be in each setting, and, the music is eclectic and exceptional. NO RESERVATIONS is set in a restaurant's kitchen with CZJ as the perfectionist head (and only) chef over a large team of cooks. She discovers herself through life experiences new to her. This is a 'feel good' PG movie that is a most welcome attraction at the cinema. End note: I stayed through the entire end credits just to hear some of the songs again. I shall purchase the CD, which is only the second time I've done this in recent memory. Do not deny yourself this most agreeable entertainment.

I really hoped that this film would not be like the others where it's another family loss and then the relative takes care of them. In other words those films were good but I didn't want the comparison and with those I don't know but it didn't really click for me. This film was brilliant on some many levels. First with the cast because Catherine Zeta Jones has yet to disappoint me when it comes to her picking films and acting in them. Abigail Breslin came from Signs to this and she is incredible. I believe she will be the next Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, or Joan Cusack. Aaron Eckhart now there's a cutie to the fullest. He was just incredible and so likable. This film was beautifully written and you will shed some tears so for the easy sensitive criers or for those who have "over productive tear ducts" bring tissue and a mom, dad or good friend who you would like to share this with because it was truly a delight. I recommend this movie to those who love to life, cry and watch life unfold on screen. Bring Tissues!~!

Aaron Echart, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Your resume includes In the Company of Men, Nurse Betty and Thank You for Smoking. You are a great actor and an actor in great films. What the hell happened here. That scene where you are dancing with the orphaned girl in the kitchen with your floppy haircut bouncing around like a basketball was (i am sure) designed to make viewers throw up violently. The movie is syrupy, sentimental and completely contrived in emotion. In conclusion, a film for teenage girls and their boyfriends who want some.

NO RESERVATIONS is an entertaining and nice summer 2007 film which gives an audience a very interesting and intelligent female lead in Cathterine Zeta-Jones as a Chef in the high profile "foodie biz" of chic New York and has the talented Aaron Eckhardt as her protagonist and romantic counterpart. Abigail Breslin in her "little grab the heart" role, shots of the village, wonderful appetizing displays of food and the glam gal, Patricia Clarkson, keeping 22 Beeker running and filled with customers. Have I mentioned that this film makes you want to pay attention the next time in your city a very pretentious and high profile restaurant opens for business? And, reservations are needed.
