تدور أحداث الفيلم حول (ويسلي) وهو شاب بسيط، يعاني من حياته المملة كموظف، يرتكب الكثير من الحماقات، ويزداد الأمر سوءًا بخيانة صديقته له، ومعاملة مديره السيئة، تحدث له مفاجأة عندما تقابله (فوكس) وتخبره بأن والده كان يعمل في إحدى المنظمات الإجرامية، وأنه قُتل، وصديقه (كروس) هو من قتله، وأنه يمتلك مهارات وصفات والده الإجرامية، فتدربه على استخدام الأسلحة.
