تدور أحداث الفيلم في المستقبل حول ثلاثة من الأصدقاء: (جوني ريكو)، (كارمن أبيانز)، و(كارل جينكنس) الذين بعد انتهائهم من المرحلة الثانوية يلتحقون بالجيش، حتى يستطيعوا أن يتمتعوا بحق المواطنة كما كانت القوانين آنذاك؛ حيث يلتحق (ريكو) بسلاح المشاة، و(كارمن) بسلاح الطيران، و(كارل) بالمخابرات العسكرية.. يدخل كوكب الأرض في حرب فضائية مع كائنات فضائية حشّرية عملاقة بعد مهاجمتهم للأرض وتدميرهم لعدد من المدن.

How I wish recent movies had the qualities this movies has.
It might be considered by many just an "action flick", but in my opinion it is a great testament to a time when movies were actually good.
Great development of characters. No politics. 10/10.
