Typical romance / love story, which was very predictable, though this was poorly executed, with poor performance, even the love scenes were bad. They added Antony Quinn to make attract viewers.

I thought that this movie was absolutely breathtaking. I mean the beginning was kinda corny but that was only like the first 5 minutes when they were flying around in the jets and of course this is coming from today's perspective I guess in 1990 it could have been pretty cool. Even though I was saying Kevin Costner was an idiot during the movie I know that when love hits there's not really much you can do. Let me just say that Madeliene Stowe is absolutely beautiful I completely fell in love with her this movie and I'm 26 years old. Overall this was a great movie that will have you tense and waiting for more throughout.

Liked the film a lot, BUT, ultimately Costner's character killed that girl. Leave her the hell alone and she would be alive.

Love Kevin but movie is boring... Takes to long to get to the action I do not recommend or just fast forward to half way thru movie

This is a great movie, it combines the love and sensitive side with the action throughout the movie. It is a very touching movie, and i really recommend it. If you watch the movie once, you will be sure to watch it again. plus is also a great movie to watch with your girlfriend/boyfriend!!

This is a movie you will love to hate. Stirring from beginning to end. Takes you through every imaginable human emotion. Every director in Hollywood should dream of making a movie of this caliber. Be sure you have a box of kleenex and are prepared to throw it at the end...

There's a reason this flopped in theaters and grossed only 3/4ths of its production cost. The Jim Harrison novella may have been decent, but dear god was this film poorly executed. The character development was almost nonexistent and the plot was riddled with so many contextual gaps that not a single relationship portrayed was even remotely convincing. People just seemed to magically float into the protagonist's life with a level of closeness that was completely inexplicable, and thus bordering on comedic. Billing itself as a "romantic thriller," Revenge utterly failed to deliver core elements of either genre. In straining to come up with any redeeming aspects of the production, I can at least say the aesthetics were quality, but not so much that they stand out, and certainly not so much that they make up for the film's weaknesses in all other dimensions. 2/10.

Wife and I watched this at a local bed and breakfast because it was there. Acting and casting no problem, but premise is silly. Kevin would not take such a risk, not in a million years, that would jeopardize he and his married woman's lives. Never. But that's what happens. I know, I know...it's just a movie but come on here...give me some realistic behavior here. You would not walk into a drug kingpin's private estate and bed down his wife. Never.

I thought this film was great from the very first time I saw it in the 90s. But one thing I'm still wondering about is, did Costner's character know who Tibey really was? However, there's some reality to someone fooling around with a powerful ruthless guy's woman. But when that guy's your friend, and can get you some of the most beautiful Mexican women for the asking, why mess with his wife? Aside from that unanswered question in the story, it is a great watch.
