Generally I do not like the protoganist . However in this case shiki is fine. the other characters are lovely, too. in first eight or nine episodes you do not get that what is going on then to ending, you will umderstand 99 percent of this show. I sometimes bored but even this times i still continued to watch impatiently

Overall I really enjoyed this anime and what it had to offer. I hope someday it can get a remake in the same universe as the current Fate series and get licensed by aniplex of usa. If you enjoy the fate series you should really check this out.

Tohno Shiki is a high school student with Shinigami Eyes, a power he rather not use for reasons that are not explained. He kills a woman he never saw before, them she turns to him for help, none of which makes any sense. Sounds misterious? It is not. Main character knows nothing, everyone else say nothing, and so the story goes nowhere. The animation is pathetic, characters show no facial expressions and barely move at all, so both drama and action are underplayed. If there was a point to this story it was in the main source, it did not translate.

Yes the first two episodes made the show appear boring and ridiculous, but by the end of the third episode, the show had finally gotten interesting especially in it's romance. Turned out to be very beautiful relationship of love between Arcueid and Shiki.

This is a delightful show about Shiki Tohno who's a high school student with a gift to see "lines". When the lines are severed, anything that had the lines will be destroyed. He comes to terms with meeting a real vampire that he supposedly meant and killed. Now Shiki Tohno is forced to team up and help kill other vampires. The series has a wonderful soundtrack that really fits the mood.(Composed by: Toshiyuki Omori) The English cast features Michelle Ruff as: Arcueid Brunestud There are 12 Episodes for the entire series: 1. Inverse Impulse 2. Black Beast 3. Demon Eyes of Direct Death 4. Cradling Garden 5. Bow of the Sky 6. White Dream 7. Blue Ruins 8. Origami 9. Death 10. Crimson Red Moon 11. Night of Disaster 12. Moon World Shingetsutan Tsukihime is great show to watch and recommend to anime fans out there, especially for Arcueid Brunestud!

It's a pretty decent horror series like you would really like Shiki and Arcueid teaming up together to fight horrifying monsters. Even when he takes off his glasses and using his blade to fight the lines on the monsters, you know well that good stuff is going down! I gotta say even if there were confusing bits to the anime, it's really entertaining and well done. I totally recommend this anime to fans of the horror genre who hasn't seen this yet!

All I can say is this is a fantastic mini- series. I stumbled across this on you-tube and out of curiosity, started watching it. I was hooked from them first episode, and I ended up watching it throughout the night. It is one of the strangest and most interesting shows in anime that I have ever seen and although I watched it in Japanese (with subs, of course), that didn't make it any less entertaining. Spoilers: The main character in this show is Shiki, a senior high schooler who can see death lines in people after he had a terrible accident when he was young. At the beginning of the show he moves in with his sister (who is much more than she appears to be)after being away from home for a number of years. He soon meets Arcueid, a vampire whose job it is to keep other other vampires in check, but also one in particular called Roa. Arcueid is incredibly naive about the modern day world, having only just awoken from her sleep, and killed by Shiki once already, she finds herself experiencing feelings and emotions she hasn't in centuries. In her weakened state, Arcuied forces Shiki to help her, and both precede to battle several mean vampires throughout the show. As I said, this show is very interesting. All the characters have depth to them, and many are not what they appear to be. There are plenty of plot twists and turns to keep the viewer guessing what's going to happen next. Apparently this is based on a PC game... one which I am going to get!

High-schooler Shiki Tohno has a strange ability; he sees the threads that bind everything together and by cutting these fragile threads he can destroy anything. One day he accidentally kills a woman using this skill; she doesn't remain dead though as she is vampire Arcueid Brunestud. She has no intention to harm him though and claims to be hunting another vampire who has been terrorising the city. Shiki lives with his sister and over the course of the series learns more about his family history and the forgotten events of ten years previously where he gained his strange ability. Shiki and Arcueid defeat their first opponent but there is another threat; one who possesses others and could possibly be somebody close to Shiki. This twelve episode series is rather fun thanks to good main characters and an interesting story that doesn't outstay its welcome. Shiki is fine protagonist and his strange skill is original and Arcueid is an unusual vampire with a sense of mystery about her; is she really as good as she claims or is she a potential danger; Shiki's friend Ciel certainly thinks the latter. The antagonists are suitably threatening and there are plenty of gripping action scenes where the protagonists confront them. The characters are well designed and distinctive and the animation is good. Given that is it effectively a horror series it is surprising that it isn't darker in tone but that isn't a bad thing. Overall I'd certainly recommend this less well known series to anime fans.
